Hosting

This website and MAKonnect ERP run in German data centers. Data never leaves Germany. We do not use any third-party cloud providers.

SSL/TLS encryption

For your security, all traffic to this website is transmitted encrypted over SSL/TLS.

Purpose

We process personal data only to respond to your inquiries, fulfil contractual obligations, and meet legal requirements. No sharing, no selling, no advertising analytics.

Cookies & local storage

We do not set tracking or advertising cookies. For the site to function we only store your theme preference (light/dark) and – if you consent – your analytics choice in your browser's local storage. Neither value ever leaves your device.

Web analytics with Umami (self-hosted)

This site uses Umami Analytics – a privacy-friendly, self-hosted, open-source analytics platform. It runs exclusively on our own servers at Hetzner in Germany (analytics.makonnect.com). No cookies are set, no data is shared with third parties, and no cross-device identification takes place. IP addresses are only hashed server-side to distinguish sessions and are not stored permanently.

We collect only anonymised statistics: pages visited, referrer, device type, browser and approximate region.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Umami is only loaded after you have actively given consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

Retention period: no more than 12 months. After that, data is automatically deleted.

You can withdraw or grant your consent below at any time. If your browser sends the 'Do Not Track' signal, Umami is never loaded regardless of your choice.

Spam protection with Cloudflare Turnstile

Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated abuse. Turnstile does not set advertising cookies, does not build user profiles, and only transmits the data technically necessary for bot detection.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in protecting our systems from spam and abuse).

Contact requests & email delivery

If you contact us via the form, we process the information you provide (name, email, company, phone, message) to handle your request. To prevent abuse, technical metadata such as IP address and browser user-agent are captured for the duration of delivery.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (abuse prevention). Email is delivered via an SMTP provider located within the EU.
